Tis’ true, it is hardly updated nowadays, but the plain nature of his site offers many truths.

Like whales – they drink our water and eat our sailors. They beach themselves out of spite.

Plus any site that furthers the cause of the pirate, is definitely a winner in my book.

Here’s my submission for my Self Portrait 1.

I had ideas from the get-go, and I implemented most of them.

I discovered the very useful ‘Refine Edges’ with Quick Selection and Magic Wand tools, re-discovered the art of ‘Load Selection,’ and made use of new brushes downloaded from the web.

I used a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator in this work.

There is one thread of hidden meanings within the left side.
